Colleen Van Zante

Graduate Student Intern, Therapist

Navigating life's roadblocks can leave you feeling unanchored and unsure of the next step. The very act of seeking support speaks volumes about your strength and determination.

Often, the solutions we seek are obscured by our own perspective. This is where I can offer a guiding hand. I approach each session with deep compassion and unwavering care. My approach is rooted in collaboration, recognizing that you are the true author of your story.

My therapeutic framework draws significantly from narrative therapy, which empowers you to re-author your life story, separating yourself from the problems that have defined you. By externalizing these challenges, we can explore how they've shaped your narrative and discover alternative, empowering stories. In addition, I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which helps us delve into the patterns of connection and disconnection in your relationships, fostering emotional security and deeper understanding. Through this lens, we will explore how your need for connection and protection influences your emotional landscape.

I am committed to empowering you to tap into your inherent resilience through curiosity and authenticity. I want you to know that I strive to understand your unique worldview within its broader context. Whether you're new to therapy or have prior experience, I welcome the opportunity to walk alongside you.

I use the pronouns she/her. Outside the office, I enjoy exploring new restaurants, supporting our local sports teams, and visiting the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
