Kelsey Marple, MA NCC Professional Counselor Associate

Co-Founder, Therapist & Administrative Supervisor

Often, I find that people are aware of the hurdles keeping them from living life to the fullest, but can benefit from professional support in actively working through them instead of staying stuck in a cycle.

I graduated with a BA in Psychology from University of Oregon in 2014, and a MA in Counseling from Western Seminary in 2019. Most of my training and experience has been working with traditional age college students navigating how to be an adult and other big life transitions, but work within many other areas and demographics now as well. I practice from the lens of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Internal Family Systems.

I am passionate about helping you cultivate compassion for yourself, and helping you reconnect to your own needs and desires. I believe there are no bad parts of us, and that contexts and circumstances force us into behaviors of survival. I would love to help you pin point what feels hard, where you feel stuck and to brainstorm new ways of moving through the world. Often I find, change is about slowing down and turning in rather than making huge external shifts.

My approach towards therapy is relational and trauma-informed. I view counseling as a collaborative effort and help my clients to recognize their strengths, identify needs, understand conflicts, discover new options, and make informed choices in a warm and non-judgmental counseling space through empathy and curiosity. I care about giving others the space to be heard and to feel their inherent worth and value.

I use pronouns she/her. I am married and I’m a mom. Outside of therapy you can find me baking, eating out with friends, relaxing with my family, or reading anything from a memoir to a self-help book to a thriller.
